Genres and Compatibility with Gaming Platform:

Looking into genres of games now and seeing whether they would work for the game i'm creating on Facebook. Compiling the research by looking at what you normally see on these types of platform, why some genres work and why some don't and could I make an obscure genre become more popular.

Here are some views from friends through primary research and what they rated the gaming genre on Facebook. Rating it based on the compatibility of the genre on the platform and f they would expect it to see it on Facebook.
I also did some more primary research  by asking the same people what genres they think they would like to see done or made better and done in an innovative way and what genre/theme has bee over used and done too much.

3 of the 5 I asked said they would like to see a strategy game made and done in a different way to how other simple strategy games are made. One would like to see more in-depth trivia based games made instead of being more broad and general knowledge based. The final said that they would like to see how an action adventure be attempted and how it would come out on the Facebook platform.
When it came to what games they would like to done less and are over done it mainly came to again, general knowledge and personality based trivia games, simulations such as Farmville and Sports game such as poker and snooker as they get requests and see the games more often on Facebook.
